Decode the names before you choose the shape. These guides distinguish the flowing palazzo family from culottes, flares and other neighboring cuts.
Start with the feature you are trying to name
If you are looking at a photograph and wondering whether the trousers are palazzos, begin with the definition guide. It explains the broad outline before introducing nearby categories. Historical context answers a different question from choosing a contemporary cut.
